Main design parameters of stainless steel baffle defogger

1: flue gas flow rate

Too high or too low flue gas flow rate through the section of the defogger is not conducive to the normal operation of the defogger. Too high flue gas flow rate is easy to cause secondary water in the flue gas, thus reducing the effect of the defogger. At the same time, too high flow rate causes large system resistance and high energy consumption. The velocity of flue gas passing through the defogger section is too low, which is not conducive to gas-liquid separation, and also is not conducive to the effect of defogging. In addition, the design of low loss, absorption tower section size increases, investment also increases. The designed flue gas velocity should be close to the critical velocity. According to the structure and arrangement of different mist eliminator blades, the design flow rate is generally selected between 3.5-5.5m/s. Flue type can be between 3.5-7.0m/s

2: blade spacing

The distance between blades has a great influence on the defogging efficiency of the demister. The defogging efficiency decreases with blade spacing. The distance between plates makes the circulation area of particles in the passage larger, and the velocity direction of the air flow tends to change gently, which makes the particles follow the air flow well and is easy to escape capture as the air flow out of the blade passage, so the defogging effect is reduced. The choice of blade spacing is very important to ensure the efficiency of defogging and maintain the stable operation of defogging system. Large blade spacing, low defogging efficiency, serious water in flue gas, easy to cause induced draft fan, heat exchanger failure, resulting in abnormal shutdown of the whole system. If the blade spacing is too small, the efficiency of washing will also decrease, and the blade is easy to scale and block, which will eventually lead to the shutdown of the whole system. The blade spacing is selected according to the system flue gas characteristics (flow rate, SO2 content, dust concentration with water load), absorption efficiency, blade structure and other comprehensive factors. At present, the blade spacing of defogger commonly used in desulphurization system is between 25-40.

3: the number of metal baffle defogger

As the number increases, so does the defogging efficiency and pressure loss. The design requirements of the defogger are aimed at improving the efficiency of defogging and reducing pressure loss. Therefore, the increase in the number of fogging efficiency, while ignoring the increase in airflow resistance loss, will result in a significant increase in the loss. The present desulphurization system uses two defogging systems.

4: flushing water pressure

The water pressure of the defogger is generally determined according to the characteristics of the flushing nozzle and the distance between the defogger and other factors (the distance between the nozzle and the defogger is generally 650-900mm). When the flushing water is low, the flushing effect is poor. High washing pressure can easily lead to secondary water in flue gas. Meanwhile, the service life of blade is reduced. Under normal circumstances, the mist eliminator uses two layers of washing; And the front layer of the flue gas (the critical surface of the flue gas of the defogger) is flushed upward with the water pressure within 2.5-105Pa, and the back layer of the defogger is flushed downward with the water pressure within 1.5-105Pa. The second mist eliminator uses a layer of upward washing. Do not wash the reverse side, so as not to cause secondary carrying. The specific value depends on the working condition.

5: flushing water

Choose demister rinse water treatment need to meet the requirements of demister itself, also need to consider the system should be taken under the condition of water balance the requirements of some big rinse water for short periods of time, sometimes used in small water wash for a long time, the specific rinse water should be determined by the working condition, usually a demister section on shun flushing water about 2-4.5 m3 / h

6: flushing coverage rate

Flushing coverage rate refers to the extent to which flushing water covers the section of the defogger. According to the different working conditions, and the overlapping rate of nozzle spray diffusion Angle area. The general requirements of the whole defogger section can not have dead Angle. Prevent blockage caused by failure to flush, resulting in system shutdown.

7: rinse cycle

Flush cycle refers to the time interval between each wash of the mist eliminator. Because the amount of water in the flue gas increases during the washing of the mist eliminator, it should not be washed too frequently, but the interval should not be too long, otherwise it is easy to produce scaling phenomenon. The washing cycle of the mist eliminator is mainly determined according to the characteristics of the flue gas and the absorbent. Generally, it is advisable not to wash for 3~6 times of the washing time. Cycle single track time between 20-60 seconds.
