The plastic garland filler was developed by A.J.Teller in 1954, so the garland is often called Teller Rosette. Plastic garland fillers are more often polypropylene garland fillers. The plastic wreath packing is made of many rings. Because of the high liquid holding capacity in the gap of the packing, the residence time of the liquid in the column is longer, which increases the contact time of the gas-liquid two phases and improves the mass transfer efficiency of the packing. Garland filler has the characteristics of large voidage, low pressure drop and mass transfer unit height, high flooding point, vapor-liquid contact, small specific gravity, high mass transfer efficiency, and is mainly used in gas washing and purification tower.
